2nd-gen Motorola Moto Hint: improved battery life, fit and price tag

Alongside theMoto X (2014)andMoto G (2014),Motorola unveileda tiny Bluetooth-powered earbud called the Hint. This earpiece allows you to take phone calls, control your smartphone with voice actions and much more. If you’ve been waiting for a refresh on the original model, today is your day. It looks likeMotorolahas quietly outed the second-generation Moto Hint, and it’s alreadyavailable for purchase from Best Buy.

Google+ userJosue Josephalready scored some hands-on time with the new model, which is shown in the photos above. According to the listing on Best Buy’s website, the new Moto Hint features an “improved fit” and “advanced voice control” features, though we’re not exactly sure what those are at the moment. The design of the device looks almost identical to the 2014 model, but apparently fits even better in the ear. It also comes with a battery that can last up to 17 hours on a single charge (up from 10 hours), which is definitely a welcome feature to the headset.

The new model also sports a special wind-canceling technology, Bluetooth 3.0 andEDR technology, and a cheaper price tag at $129.99. The original Hint launched at $149.99, which many users argued was too much for the headset.

Motorola is holding eventsin New York City and London on July 28th, so we should hear more about the new Moto Hint when that rolls around. You can already purchase the new model from Best Buy for the cheaper price tag, though it should be noted that Motorola is offering the first-generation devicefor just $79.99. The new model is alsolisted on Sprint’s website as the “Moto Hint Plus”, though you can’t buy it from the carrier quite yet.
