Assassin’s Creed producer Jade Raymond joins Google as vice president
June 04, 2025
Famed game producer and AAA product lead Jade Raymondannounced on Twitter late yesterdaythat she has joinedGoogleas a vice president.
It’s highly likely that Raymond is now a part of the mysteriousGoogle gaming division, which will launch some sort of gaming product next week at the2019 Game Developers Conference. However, although we know Raymond has a vice president title, we don’t yet know what her exact role with Google will be.

Judging fromRaymond’s history in the gaming industry, it’s highly likely she is involved inProject Stream, which allows gamers to play AAA titles in just a web browser. However, it could be that Raymond is working in some yet-unknown division of Google gaming that we won’t know about until after GDC.
Raymond was a co-founder of both Motive Studios and Ubisoft Toronto. At the latter, she helped build the Assassin’s Creed, Watch Dogs, and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell franchises. The former studio was a part of Electronic Arts where she worked on Star Wars-related properties.

Raymond left EA in October last year after the Star Wars franchisestarted to face issues. However, EA gave her many compliments during her departure so it’s unclear if the Star Wars issues had much to do with Raymond.
We’ll likely find out more about Raymond’s new Google gaming title at GDC next week.
