Deal: LG V30S ThinQ gets another price cut, now down to $679.99

TheLG V30S ThinQwas already a strange device, but its price tag over time might be even stranger. Announced duringMWC 2018,LG’srefreshed 2017 flagship went from $930 to $730 when it launched in the U.S. two weeks ago.
Now, retailer B&H Photo Video discounted the V30S ThinQ even further to $680. That is a $250 difference from the phone’s original price.
We do not know why V30S ThinQ received such a heavy discount within two weeks of availability. Manufacturers sometimes offer incentives when products first launch to entice would-be buyers, but LG’s offering features none of that. That suggests that phone sales might not be to LG’s liking so far.
Aside from being a mouthful, the V30S ThinQ is LG’s first attempt at itsnew release cyclethat looks to mitigate its mobile division’scontinual financial losses.
The V30S ThinQ features a 6-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 2,880 x 1,440 resolution, dual 16MP and 13MP rear sensors, Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of expandable storage, and a 3,300mAh battery.
The phone also featuresAndroid 8.0 Oreoout of the box, IP68 dust and water resistance, wireless charging, and a 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC to go along with the headphone jack.
Keep in mind that, apart from the extra RAM and storage, the V30S ThinQ and regularV30are virtually indistinguishable from each other.
That being said, some retailers either offer the V30 with a higher price tag or do not sell the phone at all. Also, while you could save some scratch and get a used or refurbished V30, you get a two-year warranty with the V30S ThinQ.
