Wear OShas a strong list of contenders, with many companiesstill developing smartwatchespowered by Google’s wearable OS. Even though the platform itselfcould use some work, there are still plenty of reasons you’d want to buy a Wear OS-powered watch.

Others shouldn’t be overlooked, though. Fitbit makes somegreat smartwatches, and Samsung’s newGalaxy Watch Activelooks very promising.

For as popular as they’ve become, smartwatches aren’t for everyone, which is why fitness trackers andhybrid smartwatcheshave become so popular over the years. Less functionality means fewer distractions throughout your day, and these devices are generally smaller than traditional smartwatches.
