Gboard 2.0 for iOS gets some theming features Android version lacks

The iOS and Android versions ofGoogle’s Gboard appare usually pretty synced, but occasionally one will jump ahead of the other when it comes to new features and functions. With that in mind, it looks like the iOS version ofGboardnow has some nifty customization features that the Android version lacks (via9to5Google).
To be fair, some of the theming functions arriving for iOS users with Gboard 2.0 today are features Android users have enjoyed for a while now. For example, Gboard 2.0 for iOS now lets users choose background colors and images, customize key borders, key height, and enable/disable key popups. These are all things Android users have been able to do for some time.
However, the iOS app now has some cool customizations for the swipe trail. You can now customize the color and thickness of the trail and even add some absolutely fabulous sparkles that feature little Google “G” logos.

If you wish your Android device had these new swipe trail customizations, don’t worry: it’s highly likely they will be coming to Android soon. However, we don’t know when.
Gboard for iOS is still missing some other customization features that Android has, such as setting keypress sound volume, vibration strength, and the length of the key long press delay.
