Google is now giving you a chance to win $5,000 if you buy the Pixel 5

Google is now running a “Pixel 5 $5G Sweepstakes” on the US Google Store. The promotional contest will afford five lucky winners a chance to win $5,000 each if theybuy a Pixel 5from Google.
ThePixel 5is one of Google’s first 5G phones other than thePixel 4a 5G, hence the name “$5G Sweepstakes.” If you buy the Pixel 5 from the Google store between November 2 and November 30, you will automatically receive one sweepstakes entry.
Another way of entering the contest is by sending handwritten entries to Google by mail. This method does not require you to purchase a Pixel 5 unit. You’ll find the mailing address and other details for this methodhere.
Once all the entries are in, Google will conduct a random draw on or around December 20 to choose five winners who will get $5,000 each. Interestingly, the winnings can only be deposited in aGoogle Payaccount, so if you plan on participating, you should sign-up for the payments platform.

Google will also throw in an additional $2,000 for all the prize winners to be used as a tax offset. So in all, those who win the sweepstakes will get $7,000 each. Google, however, will allow winners to withdraw a maximum of $700 per week.
This latest promotional contest is an unconventional approach to smartphone marketing by Google. The company is possibly targeting the Black Friday crowd and hoping to drive Pixel 5 sales on the Google Store. It’s still a good bet for those who’ve already decided to purchase the phone. It sure doesn’t hurt to make an easy $5,000.
