Here’s a first look at Google’s Pixel Themes app (Updated)

Previously spotted as literally a shell of what it could be, the Pixel Themes app was once again spotted by the folks atXDA-Developers. This time around, they grabbed screenshots of the unreleased app.

Based on the screenshots, Pixel Themes will let you change the accent color, font, wallpaper, and clock type for the lock screen and ambient display. The screenshots show Style, Clock, and Wallpaper sections near the bottom navigation area, with the Style section displaying preview screens for changes you want to make.

You’ll also get to change the homescreen layout, with options include 3×3, 4×4, and 5×5.

According toXDA, Pixel Themes will include three non-default pre-installed themes. Here are the names and descriptions for each one:

XDAsurmised we’ll see the Pixel Themes app debut alongside theGoogle Pixel 4. Google hasn’t confirmed the Pixel 4’s launch, butleaked information from Verizonsuggests the company will announce its upcoming flagships in October.
