Here’s our first look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, likely coming in 2022
August 17, 2025
The most recent flagship tablet from Samsung is theGalaxy Tab S7(and its sibling, the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus). However, those tablets came out in 2020, and 2021 hasn’t seen a follow-up yet (although we did see theGalaxy Tab S7 FE).

It doesn’t look like Samsung is going to launch a new flagship this year, but we now know what we can expect for next year. Reliable industry leakerSteve Hemmerstoffer(viaZouton) just released some new renders of what appears to be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8.
As expected, the tablet doesn’t veer too widely from Samsung’s formula. It doesn’t look much different from the Galaxy Tab S7 or even theGalaxy Tab S6before that.

Check out the renders for yourself below.

The darker-colored area of the back of the tablet is likely a magnetic panel to hold an S Pen stylus. Over the years, the stylus has come free with the tablet, and that would likely be the case for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 pictured here.
It is very unlikely Samsung would push this tablet out this year. Instead, it’s far more likely we’d see it launch alongside theSamsung Galaxy S22family in early 2022. It’s also possible Samsung could launch it without an event, which it has done for tablets in the past.
