HONOR 9 with dual-camera setup to be announced on June 12?

The upcomingHONOR 9 stopped by TENAAa few days ago, so we already have an idea of what to expect from the device in terms of specs. Thanks to a promotional poster that leaked recently, we now also have a clue as to when the device will be announced.
The successor to the popularHONOR 8could be officially revealed on June 12 at a press event in Shanghai, China. In addition to the date, the poster also reveals that the smartphone will feature a dual-camera setup — something the TENAA listing also suggested. The tagline reads “Beautiful and Colorful”, hinting that the HONOR 9 will be available in a few different color options.

In case you’ve missed it, the HONOR 9 is expected to sport a 5.15-inch display with Full HD resolution. It’s expected to house a Kirin 960 chipset under the hood along with 4 or 6 GB of RAM, with both versions offering 64 GB of storage.
As already mentioned, the device is tipped to feature a dual-camera setup on the back with 20 and 12 MP sensors, in addition to a 3,100 mAh battery, an 8 MP selfie snapper, and a fingerprint scanner located on the front, below the screen. It would likely runAndroid Nougatwith the latest version of the EMUI user interface on top.

Although not confirmed, the HONOR 9 with 4 GB of RAM is said to cost 2,299 yuan (around $355), while the model with 6 GB of RAM may set you back 2,599 yuan (around $380).
