HTC Ocean Note to be announced on January 12

Original post, December 29:HTChas struggled quite a bit this year, despite having a few solid devices on offer including the high-endBoltand10. In hopes of turning things around next year, HTCwill, according to the latest report from Taiwan, announce three new smartphones in the first quarter.
HTC will probably announce the first device at apress conference on January 12. Rumors have it that the company will take the wraps off themid-range X10, the successor to the last year’sX9. The device is expected to come with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, MediaTek’s Helio P10 processor, 3 GB of RAM, and a 13 MP rear camera. These are just educated guesses for now, as HTChas not confirmed any of the rumors regarding the device.
The second device in question is most likely the HTC11 — codenamed HTCOcean. The flagship device just might be announced during theMobile World Congress (MWC), which kicks off on February 27 in Barcelona.
The third smartphone HTCplans on announcing next year might be a phablet. Apparently, the company is working on a device called HTCOcean Note, which means that it will probably be a bigger version of the upcoming HTC11. As of now, we really don’t know much about it, but we could assume that it will go head to head with other high-end phablets such as theLG V20.
For HTC’s sake, let’s hope that these devices bring a few new things to the table that will be able to spark consumer interest. Otherwise, things don’t look good for the company, which hasn’t really been able to keep up with the competition in recent years.
