HUAWEI gearing up to launch the Mate 10 Pro with Verizon and AT&T?

HUAWEI has been sniffing around the US market for a while now and has been making some inroads lately. Its sub-brand HONOR has seen several US launches, most recently with theHONOR V10, and the company managed to get its ownMate 9 off the groundthere last year.
Though HUAWEI’s devices haven’t yet received anything in the way of carrier support, a report fromETNews(via9to5Google) suggests that this could soon be changing.
Apparently, HUAWEI will announce the launch the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro in the US this January, with a release slated for Q1, 2018. This is said to arrive first under AT&T, butETNewsalso states that HUAWEI is currently in negotiations with Verizon to sell the phone too. This followsprevious rumorsregarding the Mate 10 Pro being released through AT&T stores, so the speculation is mounting.
With HUAWEI’s sights set on overtaking Apple and Samsung in the next few years in smartphone shipments, this could be a big first step for the company that’s currently lagging behind in the US. And it would be good news for consumers too: we said that HUAWEI had “brought its A-game” with theMate 10 in our full review, and it’s in the running on ourbest smartphone of 2017list — there could be worse Android devices to get official support in the States.
