This week we’re giving away a brand newHUAWEI P40 Pro Plus, courtesy ofHuawei’s Apps Up contest!
HUAWEI is inviting developers from around the globe to take part in its Apps Up HUAWEI HMS App Innovation Contest.
From now through August 30, you’re able to register for the competition and use HUAWEI Mobile Services (HMS) Core development capabilities to craft your app. The goal of the competition is to bring new developers to light and give the best ideas a chance to shine in any of five regional competitions.

In each regional completion, your app will have the chance to earn you one of several cash prizes of up to $15,000. Prizes are available for the best apps, games, and social impact apps. HUAWEI will then take the top 20 apps from each region and bring them to the AppGallery for public voting. The best and brightest ideas and developers will have a chance to compete in the final portion of the competition with a total of $1,000,000 on the line.
Huawei’s P series devices have always been best in class. They’ve offered stellar performance and battery life, and, most notably, they’ve had some of the most innovative camera systems on the market. The HUAWEIP40 Pro Plusis no different.
Generally, the P series gets two models: a standard and a pro. But this year, HUAWEI opted to introduce standard, premium, and ultra-premium models. The HUAWEI P40 Pro Plus has an almost identical design and feature set to theP40 Pro, but brought something we’ve never seen before in a phone: 10x optical zoom.
The P40 Pro Plus undoubtedly has one of the best camera systems on the market, paired with incredible build quality. A huge 6.58-inch OLED screen sits in front of anOcta-core HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G chipset, 8GB of RAM, and a 4,200mAh battery. Performance is excellent and, this being the Pro Plus version, all the modern features you’d expect in a smartphone are present. They include IP68 water and dust resistance, 40W SuperCharge wireless charging, and wireless reverse charging.
