Is Google teasing a Pixel 3 Mini on its Instagram account?

TheGoogle Pixel 3series has been leaked to death for the past few months, but is the Mountain View company teasing a hitherto-unseen mini model?
“We’ve heard rumors of a mini Pixel. Which begs the question, how ‘mini’ is too mini? We have a feeling the next one will be a bit bigger than this,” read a post on the Made By Google Instagram account. The attached image shows a series of phones, ranging from a super-tiny device to a large model. Check it out below.
If Google is indeed teasing a smaller phone, it’s most likely the Pixel 3 rather than a Mini model. After all, we’ve seen a ton of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL leaks, but nothing substantial regarding a smaller device.
But why bring up rumors of a Pixel 3 Mini if you plan to stick to your two established phone sizes anyway? One possibility is that the social media/marketing team is simply trolling us. If this is the case, I think there’ll definitely be a few disappointed consumers once Google’s event is over. It would be likeHuaweireferencing “rumors of aheadphone jack” on a flagship and not following through.
Then again, there’s the unlikely possibility that the Mountain View company has managed to keep a Pixel 3 Mini under wraps. If Google is preparing a mini model, we wonder whether it’ll have flagship specs or if it’ll be amid-range Pixel.
It wouldn’t be the first time we saw a mini model, as the likes ofSamsungandLGhave released Mini devices before, featuring mid-range specifications. We’ve also seen Sony’sCompactrange, offering flagship internals but a 5-inch or smaller display.
