Mate 20 renders show Pixel-shaming tiny bezels and waterdrop notch

Leaked photos appear to confirm that the HUAWEI Mate 20 will have a significantly smaller notch than the one on the HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro. The images, whichWinFuturesays are official marketing renders, show the phone in a bit more detail than therenders we saw in August.
On the front of the phone, we can clearly see the device’s tiny top and bottom bezels and small waterdrop-style notch. The bottom bezel appears slightly thinner than in the previous render. As for the notch, it is significantly smaller than the one that is expected to feature on theHUAWEI Mate 20 Pro. Of course, this means it won’t have some of the sensors that will be housed in the Pro version’s larger notch, mainly the infrared face unlock system.
The pictures of the phone’s rear give us a clear look at its triple camera setup. Like the Mate 20 Pro, the Mate 20 has three cameras placed in a square with the phone’s flash. It’s a neat looking design that is quite different from the triple camera setup on theHUAWEI P20 Proand theLG V40 ThinQ.
Underneath the camera, you can see the fingerprint sensor, meaning the device won’t have the in-display sensor that has been rumored for the Pro version.
As for other details about the phone, it is expected to get a 4,000mAh battery, and there will likely be a version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. HUAWEI has also already confirmed it will be powered by theKirin 980chipset. While we know there will be three rear cameras, we don’t know much about them.
Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out more about the phone as HUAWEI will unveil it at anevent on October 16. Of course, HUAWEIisn’t the only manufacturer set to unveil a phone in October.
