Motorola Moto G Power (2022) announced: Still no NFC, same battery as 2021

After a few weeks of various leaks and rumors,Motorolatook the wraps off the Motorola Moto G Power (2022). As with the 2021 iteration of the phone, it’s a budget Android device with a huge battery.

Unfortunately, Motorola didn’t make the phone too much better than the 2021 model. In fact, it even made things slightly worse by offering a slower wired charging speed. However, budget shoppers who mostly care about a smartphone’s battery life should give this a look.

Here are the confirmed official specs of the latest Moto G Power phone.
Price and availability
The Moto G Power (2022) will cost $199 for the base model with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. The upgraded model with 128GB of storage and the same RAM count will cost $249.
In the United States, you’ll be able to buy it first atMetro by T-Mobileand Republic Wireless. However, Motorola did not give an exact date for this rollout other than “in the coming months.” It’s unlikely it will launch before 2022 begins, though.

Eventually, it will make its way toVerizon,Boost Mobile, Xfinity Mobile,AT&T,Cricket,UScellular, andGoogle Fi. It will also eventually be available in unlocked form from Motorola and third-party retailers, includingAmazonandBest Buy.

As for our neighbors in Canada, Motorola committed to launching the Moto G Power (2022) there but had no pricing or availability information yet.
