Motorola Razr specs: Not really a Galaxy Fold competitor
July 22, 2025
Motorola is resurrecting itsiconic Razr linein a big way: The newMotorola Razris a foldable phone, but not like any of the foldableswe’ve seen thus far. It’s essentially a flip phone with a tall 21:9 display on the inside, complete with a smaller glanceable display on the outside. Wondering what the new Motorola device is packing under the hood? We’ve got all the Motorola Razr specs below.
Don’t miss:Motorola Razr hands-on

Motorola Razr specs
Let’s start with the most exciting part of the Motorola Razr specs: the display. When unfolded, the main Flex ViewpOLEDdisplay measures 6.2 inches. Motorola tells us there’s no display crease to be found on this device, which is a nice departure from the Samsung Galaxy Fold. The display has a 2,142 x 876 resolution in a 21:9 aspect ratio, similar to theSony Xperia 1. The Razr’s display has a pretty sizeable notch, though, which houses the 5MP selfie camera.
Unlike the smaller display on theGalaxy Fold, Motorola doesn’t expect you to doeverythingon the Razr’s front display. The 2.7-inch OLED panel on the front will mainly be used to handle quick actions like checking and responding to notifications, making Google Pay payments, changing music tracks, taking selfies, and issuingGoogle Assistantcommands. The front display has a resolution of 800 x 600 and has a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Above that front display sits a main 16MP sensor with an ƒ/1.7 aperture and 1.22μm pixels. It comes with EIS, Dual Pixel autofocus, and laser autofocus, and can also be used as the front-facing camera when the device is in its folded position.
Surprisingly, the Motorola Razr could be referred to as a mid-ranger, at least under the hood. It’s powered by aQualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, 6GB of RAM, and has 128GB of onboard storage. There’s no microSD card slot here, and no headphone jack. The 2,510mAh battery looks a bit small at first glance, but that Snapdragon 710 processor is much more power efficient than the top-tier800-series chipsin current flagships.

Classic Motorola: There’s also no officialIP rating, though it does come with a splash-proof, water-resistant nano-coating, which should shield against minor interactions with water.
Also class Motorola: The Razr ships withAndroid 9 Pie, notAndroid 10(which has been out for over two months). Lenovo/Motorola’s software update track record has been less than stellar in recent years, so don’t hold your breath for a speedyAndroid 10 updateany time soon.

Motorola also made it a point to note that the new foldable Razr is actually the same 14mm thickness as the original Razr flip phone. That’s impressive!
That’s it for the list of Motorola Razr specs, but there’s so much more to talk about. Check out ourhands-on,pricing and availability hub, and more below.
