Nokia 7.2 launches in India: Stock Android, triple cameras for under $300
July 29, 2025
TheNokia 7.2continues the trend ofHMDdelivering solidbudget phones, and Indian users can soon see what all the fuss is about when the phone is released next week.
Nokia’s mid-range device packs a Snapdragon 660 processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,500mAh battery with 10W charging.

The Nokia 7.2 also serves up atriple rear camerasetup as you’d expect these days, featuring a48MPprimary camera, 8MP ultra-wide snapper, and 5MP depth sensor. Selfies are handled by a 20MP camera in a waterdrop notch.
Other noteworthy details include a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD screen, rear fingerprint scanner,3.5mm port, USB-C, and a dedicatedGoogle Assistantbutton.

HMD’s phone is part of theAndroid Oneinitiative, which means a stock take on Android and at least two years of Android feature updates (along with three years of security patches). In fact, the firm says the phone is “Android Qready.”
The phone starts at Rs. 18,599 (~$261) for the 4GB/64GB variant and Rs. 19,599 (~$275) for the 6GB/64GB variant. The Nokia 7.2 will be available from September 23 viaNokia’s websiteand Flipkart in Charcoal and Cyan Green.

The device seems like a rather solid phone for the price, but the likes ofRealmeandXiaomiare coming in even cheaper with their phones. We saw therealme 5 Proandrealme XTlaunch in India recently at just ~$200 and ~$225 respectively, offering more powerful chipset and bigger batteries. The XT also serves up a64MPmain camera, upping the ante on paper.
Then again, our own Ryan-Thomas Shaw slammed the realme 5 Pro for its “awful software” and bloatware, with fellowAndroid Authorityreviewer Dhruv Bhutani also criticizing the bloatware. So those on the hunt for a lightweight take on Android and a device with guaranteed updates should certainly keep the Nokia 7.2 in mind.
