OnePlus announces OnePlus Red Cable Club rewards program (only in one country)

OnePlushas launched an exclusive new rewards program for its Indian users. Called the OnePlus Red Cable Club, the program bundles benefits ofOnePlus Care, free 50GB cloud storage, and a chance to win The Red Cable Jackpot.
The name of the new program was inspired by OnePlus’ distinctive red charging cables.
“Our community has been at the core of OnePlus in our journey over the years. As we complete six successful years, the launch of the OnePlus Red Cable Club is a testament of our gratitude to our five million strong OnePlus community in India,” said OnePlus CEO Pete Lau in an emailed press release.
OnePlus Red Cable Club Benefits
As mentioned before, the OnePlus Red Cable Club is designed to reward OnePlus smartphone users in India. OnePlus users registered for the club will get all OnePlus Care benefits including a free one year extended warranty for theOnePlus 6T,7, and7Tseries. OnePlus 3, 3T, 5, 5T, and 6 series users will also get 50% off battery replacements. All OnePlus smartphone users from the first generation to 7T will be eligible to claimupgrade offers.
OnePlus notes that only one of the above mentioned benefits will be available per phone/IMEI.
Beside OnePlus Care benefits, Red Cable Club members will also stand a chance to participate in the Red Cable Club Jackpot. Participants can win curated gift boxes each worth Rs 1 Lakh (~$1,400) and 50% discount vouchers on theOnePlus Bullets Wireless 2earphones. The jackpot will be open until August 17, 2025.
Once you become a Red Cable Club member, you’re able to go toSettings > Account > Community > Profileto take part in the Red Cable Club Jackpot once a day.
Lastly, all OnePlus Red Cable Club members will get 50GB of free cloud storage for a year.
How to become a OnePlus Red Cable Club member?
OnePlus users in India can enroll in the Red Cable Club by heading to their phone’s settings. This free membership lasts for a lifetime.
If you are usingAndroid 10, head toSettings > System > System updateand update your phone to the latest version. After your phone is updated, go into Settings and login to your OnePlus Account to link your phone. Once your device is successfully linked, you will be automatically registered for a Red Cable Club membership.
Those on older versions of Android will have to download and update theOnePlus Community appfrom the Google Play Store. After updating the app, head toCommunity > Profile > Red Cable Clubto link your phone and become a member.
If you are using a OnePlus 1/2/X, download OnePlus Care and verify your device to get the benefits.
What if you’ve already claimed OnePlus Care benefits?
