Since the update rolled out on December 6, users on Twitter, Reddit, and official OnePlus forums have complained of the new software’s issues. Some users complained of a black screen showing for a few seconds after unlocking the phone, while another user claimed the task manager was not closing all apps as it should.
And those are just the functional issues with the software. OnePlus’ build of Oxygen OS 12, which is based onAndroid 12, is missing many features that were present in older builds of Oxygen OS. Many users complain that the Google Feed can no longer be turned off, which has struck a particularly loud chord throughout the OnePlus community.
If the Oxygen OS 12 update is available for your phone, we suggest holding off on updating your device until we hear more from OnePlus.
