Update, August 22, 2025 (2AM ET):Xiaomi and its POCO sub-brand have been teasing a May 12 launch event for a while now, believed to be thePOCO F2 Prounveiling. The company even displayed user comments mentioning the POCO F2 in ateaser videoposted late last week.

Now, the POCO Global Twitter account has confirmed that the POCO F2 Pro is indeed coming. The confirmation also mentions the tagline of “powerfully cool” and contains a link to the live-stream page. Check out the tweet below.

The POCO event is set to kick off tomorrow (May 12), and we’ll keep you updated with all the announcements. Nevertheless, we’re expecting the POCO F2 Pro to be a rebrandedRedmi K30 Pro, featuring aSnapdragon 865chipset, quad rear shooters, and apop-up selfie camera.

Original article, July 24, 2025 (8 AM ET):We’ve all been expecting thePOCO F2series to land in 2020, and it now seems likeXiaomiand POCO are finally ready to make it a reality.

Xiaomi’s Spanish PR agency has just sent virtual invites to a POCO event. The invites, sent toAndroid Authorityas well, confirm an event scheduled for Tuesday May 12. So what should we actually expect then?

The official POCO Twitter account has revealed that the company will announce a “second generation” product. This all but guarantees that we’ll see a POCO F2 series phone, as we’re long overdue for aPOCO F1successor. And it would be too soon for a successor to the only other POCO device (thePOCO X2), which launched earlier this year.

Recent leaks also point to aPOCO M2device, so it’s possible that we’ll see both the POCO F2 family and the POCO M2 series next week. But we definitely think the mention of a “second-generation” product means the POCO F1 successor will be revealed at the very least.

It’s also interesting to note that Xiaomi Spain sent us the invite, suggesting that this is a global or European launch rather than an India-only affair like thePOCO X2.

What do you want from the POCO F2?
