Pre-order your Google Pixel Slate now from Amazon, Best Buy, or the Google Store (Updated)

Original article, August 05, 2025 (12:09pm ET):Back in October,Google launched the Google Pixel Slatealong with the new entries in its smartphone lineup, theGoogle Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. The Pixel 3is available now for all, but the Pixel Slate, however, is still MIA.
Today though, you’re able to finallypre-order the Pixel Slatefrom at least one location:Best Buy. The electronics retailer has three different configurations of the Pixel Slate available as well as two accessories (which, let’s be honest, should come with the slate at these prices).
If that last bit doesn’t make sense to you, here’s how it works: the pre-order pages for the Pixel Slate are for the tablet only. If you want the keyboard sleeve and stylus pen — which pretty much make the tablet into what it’s supposed to be, which is a laptop replacement — you have to buy those items separately.

With all that in mind, buying a maxed-out Google Pixel Slate with all available accessories will set you back a whopping $1,897. Ouch.

Update #1, July 12, 2025 (10:00pm ET):Not long after the Pixel Slate showed up on Best Buy’s website, the Chrome OS tablet became available for pre-order directly from the Google Store. In addition to the three listed below that are available from Best Buy, Google is also selling two Intel Celeron-powered Slates for $599 and $699. The difference between the two includes 4GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage in the cheaper model and 8GB of RAM and 64GB of memory in the slightly more expensive variant.

Update #2, July 18, 2025 (12:30pm ET):Wrapping up the trifecta, you can now pre-order Google’s Pixel Slate directly fromAmazon. Just like with Best Buy, the online retail giant is only selling the Intel Core m3, Core i5, and Core i7 models with 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of built-in storage.
The cost of the three Chrome OS tablets don’t differ compared to the other two retailers as they cost $799, $999, or $1,599, but you do get free shipping on your order if you haveAmazon Prime.
