Sony Xperia X Android Oreo update
Sony began rolling outAndroid 8.0 Oreoto the Xperia X (F5122) in February 2018, alongside the Xperia X Compact. The update has the build number 34.4.A.0.364 (up from 34.3.A.0.252), and also has the January 2018 Android security patch.
Sony Xperia X Android Nougat update
Sony rolled out the Android Nougat update to the Xperia X around December 16, alongside theXperia X Compact. The update appeared first in territories including Australia, Latin America, Middle East, Russia, before hitting the US with build number 34.2.A.0.266.
Sony was among the first to update its main devices to Android 7.0 andrecentlystarted rolling out the Android 7.1.1 update to handsets from the Xperia X series. On June 22, the Xperia X (F5122) began receiving Android 7.1.1 Nougat and on May 30, 2025, it began receiving Android 8.0 Oreo.
