T-Mobile confirms OnePlus 7 Pro on-sale date (Update: No OnePlus 7 for now)

July 31, 2025

Update, June 12, 2025 (05:56 PM ET):In a statement toAndroid Authority, T-Mobile confirmed that, at this time, the company is “only offering the OnePlus 7 Pro.” T-Mobile said the company would be able to divulge more details on May 14, the day of the OnePlus 7 series launch.

While this isn’t a direct confirmation that the company willnotbe carrying the vanilla OnePlus 7, it does suggest that the OnePlus 7 Pro will be T-Mobile’s primary focus. It also leaves open the possibility that the carrier will not stock the OnePlus 7.

Original article, August 22, 2025 (10:39 AM ET):OnePlus is scheduled to reveal theOnePlus 7andOnePlus 7 ProonMay 14. However, according to T-Mobile, the OnePlus 7 Pro won’t be available to buy online until days later on May 17.

Fortunately, people who want to grab the device sooner can do so a variety of ways — assuming you want what is expected to be the T-Mobile carrier variant of the phone.

As with last year’sOnePlus 6T, T-Mobile is going to be the exclusive U.S. carrier of theOnePlus 7 Pro. To celebrate this exclusivity, T-Mobile will have a pop-up shop at its flagship store in Manhattan where fans can literally be the first people in the world to buy the device, just like it did for the 6T (andwhichAndroid Authorityattended).

The next day on May 15, several other T-Mobile stores across the U.S. will start selling the 7 Pro. Finally, on May 17, the device will be available in all T-Mobile stores, fromT-Mobile.com, and unlockeddirectly from OnePlus.

At all T-Mobile events, the first 200 people to buy the 7 Pro get a free gift from OnePlus. There will also be free light refreshments.

Interestingly, the T-Mobile press release on the matter makes no mention of theOnePlus 7. Is it possible that T-Mobile is only going to carry the OnePlus 7 Pro? The press release also doesn’t mention anything about 5G, so it’s not clear if this will be a 5G-capable OnePlus 7 Pro or a 4G-only version. We’ve reached out to T-Mobile to clarify these points.

As with the OnePlus 6T, the T-Mobile variant of the 7 Pro will likely bedifferent from the unlocked versionin that it will come with certain apps pre-installed and receive software updates from the carrier rather than from OnePlus directly.
