T-Mobile experiences large breach, customer data compromised
June 10, 2025
Customer data hacks at large companies are becoming so common now that it’s hard to even get upset sometimes. But it’s still serious business and how a company handles the situation tells you a lot about how much they value you and your business (coughEquifaxcough).
A recentT-Mobiledata breach compromised personal data of some of its customers, both pre- and postpaid. If you are an affected T-Mobile customer you will receive a notification as such from the company which will link you tothis page.

The page describes the breach as “unauthorized access to certain information” which may have included “personal information” such as a customer’s “name, billing zip code, phone number, email address, account number and account type (prepaid or postpaid).”
T-Mobile specifically states that the breachdid notexpose highly-sensitive information such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, or password data.

The page describes how to get in contact withT-Mobile Customer Careto ask questions about the data breach and find out what information (if any) has been compromised.
Additionally, a T-Mobile employee on Reddit (viaAndroid Police) is reporting that T-Mobile business customers with over 100 lines on their accounts are also receiving physical letters in the mail describing the situation.
No one wants customer data breaches like this to happen, but at least T-Mobile is doing the right thing by letting customers know about it and giving them the tools to find out more information.
