T-Mobile removing international plan, might bump hotspot for One Plus plan

June 10, 2025

Earlier this week,T-Mobileannounced a new, lower-tier service plan:T-Mobile Essentials. While the new plan isn’t the best deal for one line, users who need two or more lines could save quite a bit of money with Essentials.

It appears the addition of a new plan wasn’t the only change T-Mobile had in mind for this week. We just found out – viaAndroid Headlines– that the Uncarrier is going to remove the T-Mobile One Plus International plan, which is (as of now, anyway)its most expensive offering.

T-Mobile didn’t give any specific reason for its intention to remove the plan, other than it’s looking to simplify its line-up.

The One Plus International plan includesevery perk that T-Mobile offers:

The cost of the One Plus International plan is $95 per month for one line.

T-Mobile says that those who are already on the plan will be grandfathered into the price and features, but new sign-ups for the service will stop starting tomorrow, August 10.

If you compare the features ofthe One Plus plan(which isn’t going anywhere) to the One Plus International plan, the three significant differences are the ability to make unlimited international calls to landlines and mobile lines in various countries, unlimited 4G LTE hotspot data, and unlimited 4G LTE data in Canada and Mexico.

So really, if you aren’t constantly traveling internationally, the One Plus International plan only offers one benefit: unlimited 4G LTE hotspot data.

With the One Plus International plan’s removal, there will be three core plans from T-Mobile: Essentials, One, and One Plus. One line on each will cost $60, $70, and $80 respectively. However, the Essentials price of $60 doesn’t include taxes and fees in the price, while the other two are flat rates.
