The HONOR View 10 will make its way overseas on January 8

CES 2018is right around the corner, and HONOR just couldn’t wait any longer to announce that theHONOR View 10will be available overseas starting Monday, January 8.
As a quick recap, the HONOR View 10, also known as the HONOR V10 in China, features a 5.99-inch 18:9 display with 2,160 x 1,080 resolution. Around back are dual cameras that, while not Leica-branded, deliver many of the same camera features as theMate 10 series.
Under the hood is the latest Kirin 970 chipset that is also found in the HUAWEI Mate 10 series. HUAWEI hyped up the chipset’s AI capabilities, but as we found with the HUAWEI Mate 10, the performance rivals that of the Snapdragon 835 on all fronts.
The HONOR View 10 comes in two memory variants: one with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, while the other sports 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Each variant comes with a huge 3,750 mAh battery that should provide all-day use and then some.
Finally, the phone runs HUAWEI’s latest EMUI 8.0 Android skin on top ofAndroid 8.0 Oreo. It’s nice to see a phone actually arrive with Oreo out of the box, seeing how we’ve seen plenty of smartphones in recent months released withNougat.
Seeing how HONOR is known for deliveringaffordable smartphones, consider the phone as more of an “affordable flagship” that is meant to do battle with the likes of theOnePlus 5Tand others of that class.
The View 10 is already available for purchase in China, and it’s coming to the U.K. (£449.99), France, Germany (€499.90), Italy, Spain (€499.00), and India on Monday, January 8. It will also be available in Malaysia and Russia later in January. It’s also coming to the U.S., though pricing and availability information has yet to be revealed.
