June 15, 2025
Even though theLG V30isn’t on sale everywhere yet, we’re already getting some good news about sales numbers. Right now, LG only sells the V30 in its home market of South Korea. Thatshouldchange soon withrumored release datesfor the rest of the world around the middle of October. So, how is the V30 doing so far? It looks like it’s off to a pretty decent start.
According to sales numbers reported byThe Korea Times, pre-orders of the LG V30 reached as high as 15,000 units between September 14 and September 20. While that doesn’t sound like a ton of phones, it does represents 50% increase over theLG G6that was released earlier this year. It’s yet to be determined if those numbers will translate into other markets, but LG seems very confident in the device. It recentlymatched its camera up against the $50,000 RED Weaponto give potential customers a look at the powerful camera on the v30.

We were impressed with the camerain our time with the device, as was the Director of Photography for Game of Thrones, David Franco. He shot a “day in the life” video with the phone and hadhigh praisefor the device. LG has touted thevideo and audio recording capabilitiesfor its V lineup phones in the past and it looks like they have another winner this year.
Besides the impressive camera, the V30 will launch with aQuad-DACto process high-quality audio, 64 GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot to expand that up another 256 GB. The processor of choice for flagships this year, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, will run the show with an Adreno 540 GPU, 4 GB of RAM, and a 3300 mAh battery all under the hood.

What do you think about the V30? Will you be picking one up when it comes out or are there too many other competitors? Let us know down in the comments.
