This Android tablet could be the ideal companion for laptops, Nintendo Switch
July 28, 2025
Android tablets have generally been used as cheap media consumption platforms or pricey productivity tools in recent years. Fortunately,Lenovoseems to think it can bring something different to the table, as new leaks point to a hybrid tablet device.
The Lenovo Yoga X, spotted by Android developerTill Kottman(h/t:XDA-Developers) and frequent leakerEvan Blass, seems like a somewhat typical Android tablet according to the wireframe mockup above. However, the sources report that the Yoga X can also be used as a secondary screen.

More specifically, users might be able to plug in theirNintendo Switch, phone, or computer via micro-HDMI cable to enjoy a big screen or second screen experience. The Android platform running on the Lenovo Yoga X is then said to be locked behind a PIN or password, although you can still adjust volume and brightness using Android system menus.
There’s no word on specs or pricing, so we’re not sure whether you’re better off buying a tablet andmonitorseparately. However, we’d love to see Lenovo focus on delivering a great quality screen so content looks fantastic regardless of the input device.

We’d also like to see more Android tablets offer a feature like this, so hopefully Google sees this and decides to implement native functionality. It would make for a rival of sorts to Apple’s Sidecar feature too, which lets Mac users implement an iPad as a secondary screen.
