This is the Razer Phone 2: Can you spot the difference?

August 17, 2025

The originalRazer Phonekick-started the current trend ofgaming smartphones, bringing a 120Hz display to the table. We know theRazer Phone 2 is on its way, however, and the latest leak shows us the device in all its glory.

New renders obtained by serial tipster Evan Blass show both the front and back of the Razer Phone 2. The front looks like thesame old phonereleased last year, down to those thick borders and camera/sensor locations. The display also seems to have the same 16:9 screen ratio as last year’s model — no 18:9 display here.

Switch to the back and you’ll find several obvious changes here, starting with a lit-up Razer logo. If the rumors are indeed true, then we’d expect the ability to change the logo’s colors via the Chroma app.

The other major change on the back is the redesigned camera housing, as Razer opts for a center-mounted dual-camera setup (much like theLG V30). The previous device delivered a camera housing in thetop-left corner.

We can’t quite make out whether there’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, as seen on the original Razer Phone. Nevertheless, there isn’t a scanner on the back, suggesting an in-display sensor or (more likely) the side-mounted solution.

The Razer Phone 2 is set to launch on October 10 (check the date on the phone too) and we’re expecting a 120Hz display for starters. The first-generation device was also equipped with 8GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 4,000mAh battery, so don’t be surprised if the new model matches or exceeds these figures. We’re also on the lookout for aSnapdragon 845chipset, which should make for a better gaming experience.

There areloads of phonesscheduled for an October release, but which one would you take? Let us know in the comments!
