August 09, 2025
For some time now, if you wanted to addAndroid TVto your television, the best solution would be to buy a $180NVIDIA Shield TV. But for many, that’s a lot of money for a set-top streaming box. Thankfully,Jetstream, a new Android TV device, is now available and brings 4K Ultra HD content to your big screen for just $69 (via9to5Google).
The Jetstream device really came out of nowhere, randomly popping up onWalmart’s website. We don’t know too much about the set-top box except that it was manufactured by Ematic, a company known for making inexpensive products, is powered by an Amlogic quad-core ARM Cortex A53 CPU, and comes out of the box running Android 8.1 Oreo.

As we haven’t had a chance to try out this device for ourselves, we can’t tell you how well the Jetstream performs. While it won’t likely be the best to game on, it should handle downloading apps from thePlay Storeand playing back video at 60 FPS just fine.
In terms of I/O, the Jetstream features two USB-A ports, an ethernet jack, an HDMI port, optical audio out, and an AV jack. Additionally, there is a microSD card slot for local media playback and expanding the device’s storage as the set-top box only comes with 8GB of storage built in.

The set-top box also comes with a remote that has a built-in mic for performing voice searches. There are also shortcut buttons on the remote for quick access to theGoogle Assistant, Play Store, Netflix, andYouTube.
If you’re interested in purchasing the Jetstream for yourself, head on over to Walmart’s website using the button below. If the device is currently out of stock, you can set up an in-stock alert and get notified when the retailer has more available for purchase.
