We could pretend there was another top story this week, but that would be ridiculous. HUAWEI is in trouble, as the United States hasformally indicted the company and its CFO with 13 different counts. These charges include money laundering, obstruction of justice, and sanction violations.Meng is currently awaiting extraditionto the United States to face these charges, andChina has responded.HUAWEI is kind of a big dealin China, which means it’s a big deal for the U.S.
In other news, Meizu andVivoare both looking to bringbuttonless and portless phones to the masses.We’re not so sure that’s a good idea, but Apple seems to beleaning that way as well. Frankly, that scares us —we all know what happenswhen Apple does something drastic in the smartphone market.
Meanwhile,Facebook is in trouble with Apple,Apple is in trouble with investors, andXiaomi is in trouble because of Samsung.
