This week in Android: MWC 2019 is coming

MWC 2019is fast approaching, andwe’re expecting it to be a big show. Of course, we’ll see theSamsung Galaxy S10right before the event, andXiaomi will unveil its Mi 9 on the same day, which we’re positive is not a terrible idea. Except it is. Once we get to MWC, we’ll seeLG’s next flagship, complete with aloudspeaker screen. Plus we’ll see OnePlus’5G phone prototype.
Back on the home front, we have to wonder why we’re spending $1,000 on phones when we havesome great $500 options. Meanwhile, OnePlus is makinghuge inroads in the United States—as is Google.
