Verizon makes prepaid options simpler, a bit cheaper in some cases

Today,the Verizon prepaid wireless optionswere updated slightly to make things simpler. The new options also are a bit cheaper in some cases and give you a bit of a data boost in others.
First, let’s talk about whatVerizontook away to make things simpler. Previously, there was a $60 Verizon prepaid plan which got you 10GB of high-speed data. That plan is now gone.
Next, the $50 plan which previously earned you 7GB of high-speed data got a little data boost: it now includes 8GB of data before you are throttled to a slower speed.
Additionally, the “unlimited” plan got a slight price drop from $75 to $70 per month.
Finally, Verizon prepaid is introducing autopay discounts, which pretty much every other carrier has had for years. If you choose to pay with autopay, all of the prepaid plans drop by $5 per month, with the notable exception being the entry-level $30/500MB plan, which receives no autopay discount.
