We asked, you told us: This is your favorite LG G series phone

LG confirmed that it was retiring the G series name earlier this year, as it launched theLG Velvetinstead. The new phone goes for an upper mid-range approach compared to the flagship G series, but it remains to be seen if it will have better sales.
So with the Velvet out of the door, we thought it would be a good time to look back and ask you to pick your favorite LG G series smartphone. And there was one winner out of the lot.
Which was your favorite main LG G series phone?
We tallied 3,225 votes and 20% of you called theLG G3your favorite phone in the flagship family. It’s easy to see why too, as it offered a slick design, those rear buttons seen on the LG G2, a sharp QHD screen, and a capable 13MP main camera with laser autofocus tech.
TheLG G2was in second place with 16.9% of the votes, while theLG G6(15.8%) andLG G4(14.8%) were in third and fourth place respectively. We’re not too surprised by these other phones either, although the LG G4 was plagued by well-documented bootloop issues.
Bringing up the rear was theLG G5(6%) and the LG Optimus G (2.7%). The G5 was a radical departure for the firm, as LG adopted a modular design of sorts that didn’t quite work out. Meanwhile, the Optimus G was the first in the G series, coming in the wake of the mega-popular Galaxy S3.
