Xiaomi Mi Max 3 appears in leaked videos, 5,500 mAh battery rumor seemingly legit

July 16, 2025

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has apparently been shown-off in a pair of leaked hands-on videos. The videos are said to have originated onWeibobefore being picked up byBang GogoandSlashleaks(viaGadgets360) and they give us a look at the possible design and some of the specs.

The Mi Max 3 is seen for mere seconds in both videos, but it’s enough to clue us in to the basic concept: a phablet with a vertically mounted rear camera sensor and rear fingerprint scanner.

The Xiaomi Mi Max 3.

The videos also hint at two of its possible color variants: black and gold.

On the specs front, the sticker on the phone’s body suggests it will have a 6.9-inch screen, 12MP + 5MP rear cameras, and a 5,500mAh battery — the highest milliampere capacity yet for the Mi Max series (the Max 2 had a 5,300mAh and the original had 4,850mAh).

The Mi Max 3 seen in these videos is not the same as the leaked image we saw at thestart of the year, though it has the same suggested battery capacity. This version is more like the one seen in the recentTENAA listingwe suspected was the Mi Max 3 (seen at the top of the page). The TENAA listing did pitch the battery as slightly smaller at 5,400mAh, but this could just be listing the minimum rated capacity rather than the typical.

Nothing’s certain at this point, but, either way, the Xiaomi CEO says the phone shouldbe here in July, so we don’t have long left to find out what it’s all about.
